Brenda era Brenda nascido Mae Tarpley dezembro em 11, 1944 na divisão do charity do hospital memorial de Grady

(parte do complexo do hospital da universidade de Emory) em Atlanta, Geórgia. Sua mãe, rainwater de Grayce Yarbrough

Tarpley, reside hoje em Lithonia, Geórgia. Seu pai, Ruben Lindsey Tarpley, era um jogador do baseball do carpinteiro e

do semi-profissional. Foi matado em um acidente da construção em maio 1953. Brenda tem duas irmãs e um irmão. Suas

irmãs Linda (carregado em 1942) e Robyn (carregado em 1955) e seu irmão Randall (carregado em 1949) vivem ainda em

Geórgia. Brenda atendeu a diversas escolas da classe, na maior parte em Geórgia. Atendeu à High School de Maplewood

em Nashville, Tennessee e graduou-se da escola profissional de Hollywood em Califórnia junho em 12, 1963.

Durante um concert de Jackie Wilson nos fairgrounds velhos Coliseum em Nashville, Tennessee, Brenda encontrou-se com

seu marido futuro, Ronnie (carregado maio 12, 1944). Foram casados abril em 24, 1963 na igreja de Radnor de Christ em

Nashville, Tennessee. Brenda e Ronnie têm duas filhas, Julie e Jolie, e dois granddaughters. Julie foi carregado em 1964

e casado em outubro 1986. Jolie foi carregado em 1969 e casado em janeiro 1993. Ambos os granddaughters foram carregados

em novembro 12 - um em 1988 e o outro em 1996.
